The second long weekend of the Spring/ Summer is here! Once again, the weather here in Muskoka is going to be gorgeous for the long weekend. With temperatures staying in the high twenties right until Tuesday, sunscreen will be a must. Everyday until Tuesday will produce a high UV index and even a little bit of humidity.
Earlier this week, the course received a healthy 50mm of rain. This actually worked out in our favour because of the recent warm temperatures that we have been having. As mentioned yesterday, there are some soft areas but for the most part, the course has firmed up very nice.
If you haven't been to the course much this year, you may not have noticed the project going on at the far side of the driving range. A members hitting net has been installed for people to use when the range is closed due to rain. A turning area will also be installed next to the net for easy access in the near future.

New hitting net! |
We would just like to give a friendly reminder to everyone about tapping your golf shoes off after exiting the bunker. We have noticed a few sandy foot prints on the greens surfaces next to the bunkers. With the really warm temperatures we have been having, clumps of sand from golf shoes will leave little dry spots on the green. Giving your shoes a little tap with your golf club would be much appreciated!
Enjoy the first day of the long weekend and have a great round!
