Finally No Rain In Last 24 Hours and Clear Day Ahead

New fairway brush will stand up grass before mowing this morning
The rain has been nice to keep the course looking green.  However, it is beyond the point where it is healthy for the grass.  Some drying time will benefit the health and play-ability of the turf by providing some air for the roots, more ball roll and bounce, allow our mowers to cut in the low areas, and finally get out to make some much needed weed control treatments.

Prior to play this morning, weeds on the course roughs on the back 9 will be sprayed with Par III to control clover.  A foliar spray of Primo Maxx mixed with a spoon feed of fertilizer will be applied on the greens.

This morning, the greens will be cut, and the fairways, approaches and collars will be mowed for the weekend.  The fairways will be brushed prior to mowing to stand up the grass and provide a truer cut with less stragglers.

The bunkers will be raked, and later in the morning more sand will be added where required to increase playability levels in the sand traps.

Have a great round!
