Black and White Mixed Member Guest All Set To Go

Black and White

The Annual "Black and White" is set to go today with an afternoon shotgun beginning at 1pm.  With not a cloud in the sky and the temperatures in the mid-twenties, it's a perfect day for golf!

Today all the short playing surfaces were mowed and the greens were rolled for added smoothness and ball roll for today's tournament.

Expanded fairway area on No. 5 fairway now open!

The ropes were taken down this morning along the expanded bentgrass fairway on No. 5 that was laid along where the old bunkers used to be left of the 2nd landing area.  Feel free to play out of that area and enjoy the widened landing zone!

A good start this week by the crew on knocking down the long grass along the bank left of No. 18.  Unfortunately, we had some equipment issues and didn't get the whole area mowed down this week.  However the area has been completed from the potential landing area back towards the tee to help speed up play in the meantime with those errant tee shots.

Steep slope along No. 18 getting a trim for busy July play.

It's going to be busy out there this weekend and the extra traffic takes it's toll on the course if you don't do your part to help out.  Golfers don't forget to fix your ball marks and to fill your fairway divots using the supplied seed bottles.  If you are carrying your clubs there are seed tubes you can take to fill your divots along the way.  There is a recharge station for you seed tubes on hole No. 5 and No. 14.  Please leave tee divots for the Greenstaff to repair and save the sand and seed mix for fairways and rough only.  Be careful not to overfill divots as excess sand will dull the mower blades.

Have a great round!
