The rain picked up again later yesterday afternoon with another 24mm of rain falling on the course. Bring your umbrella as it will be a little damp for today's Ladies' Day event starting with an 8:00am shotgun this morning off the green tees.
Golf carts ARE PERMITTED for full use today. Please keep carts on paths were provided and stay 'high and dry' to avoid any low lying wet areas.
Don't forget to fix your ball marks on greens as they will have a tendency to mark up more now with the softer conditions.
With the high amount of rain, the greens were left uncut today, to avoid scalping. Therefore the greens will be rolling slower than normal so give yourself at a little extra power making your putts. Some bunkers will have some standing water in them, so take a lift out of the water and place it in the nearest spot (no closer to the hole) in the bunker for your shot.
We applied some fertilizer in the rough yesterday to recuperate some stressed turf and traffic areas. This rain, while not great for golf, is giving the course a much needed surge of regrowth as we go into the weekend of the Club Championship. Let's hope the rain tapers off now for the next few days to allow us to get the fairways and approaches and other playing surfaces mowed before Friday.
The driving range will be closed this morning for maintenance from 9:30am to 1:00pm.
Enjoy your round.
