The aftermath from yesterday's storm |
After receiving tornado warnings later yesterday afternoon from Environment Canada, the course made it through fine with no significant damage. We received a severe downpour over a two hour window dropping 30mm of rain on the property.
Due to the rate the rain was received, most of the water rolled off into the ditches and the course has some minor puddles this morning, but not too bad. Carts are permitted however please stay high and dry or on the paths where provided.
Some of the old bunkers needed to be pumped out this morning and will be lower in playability as a result. The sand in the new bunkers held up great!
The new tees on No. 6 are going to be opened this morning for play this weekend. The Black blocks will be moved back from the 185 yd deck to the 200 yd new tee, and the Gold blocks will be moved forward to the new 150 alternate Gold/Green tee. The ladies are scheduled to play off the new middle tee in their upcoming ladies' day this Wednesday morning.
With the moist conditions, please remember to fix your ball marks so everyone can have a smooth running putt!
Have a great weekend!
