Finally Some Relief With Recent Rainfall

Good to see an end finally to the extended dry spell with a total of 85mm of rain falling over the course the last four days.  This will certainly help relieve some of the drought and heat stress we've been experiencing over the last couple of months.  Prior to this rain event we have only received 8mm of rain since the beginning of July!

It has been full on with the staff working hard keeping up hand watering hot spots throughout the property all summer long.  This is a total flip-flop from last summer's weather, where we barely watered a full irrigation cycle because it was so wet!

Weather Station Data for Last 4 Days

Ladies' Cancer Awareness Day Today
The Ladies' Day today starting at 8:30 am has a special Cancer Awareness Day planned so the pink blocks and flag poles are out on the course.  Unfortunately with all the standing water laying on the property after this morning's 18mm of rain falling at 3 am, golf carts will be suspended from use on the course until further notice while the water has a chance to drain.

The driving range will be closed for maintenance until 12pm and once it reopens will remain restricted to the chipping green and hitting net today while the hitting area has a chance to drain to enable ball pickup.  Thanks for your patience.

While work is being completed to fill the ditch before the road on No. 8, a drop area has been placed for those that land in the ditch.  Also, another drop area has been installed in front of No. 2 tees in case your ball lands in the #2 ditch as well.

The heavy rains took its toll on the bunkers on the course and the crew is hard at work this morning moving the sand back in place where needed.  This is the first time the bunkers washed out all season so we shouldn't complain!  We'll take all the rain we can get at the moment!

Have a great round!
